La Vanguardia.es ha escogido la plataforma de vídeo de la compañía estadounidense Brightcove, líder mundial en su sector, para impulsar sus iniciativas de vídeo en internet y aumentar su oferta publicitaria basada en vídeo.
La plataforma de Brightcove para publicar contenidos de vídeo en la web permite integrar publicidad en los vídeos y expandir la distribución de contenidos a través de buscadores. La nueva oferta de vídeo online de La Vanguardia cuenta, en su fase de lanzamiento, con destacados anunciantes como Sony, Peugeot y Nissan.
La Vanguardia.es publica un gran volumen de contenido en formato vídeo, incluyendo noticias de última hora, reportajes especiales y programas semanales. Además, cuenta con un amplio archivo que incluye miles de vídeos publicados durante los últimos años.
Hasta ahora, La Vanguardia.es trabajaba con su propia plataforma de vídeo, desarrollada internamente. Ahora, con la ayuda de la plataforma de Brightcove, La Vanguardia.es puede utilizar funcionalidades avanzadas para incrementar la calidad del vídeo y optimizar los resultados en buscadores.

La solución de esta compañía estadounidense es utilizada para publicar y distribuir vídeo en internet, entre muchos otros, por los sitios web de los diarios The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian o The Times, la compañía discográfica Sony Music o la web del principal canal de información meteorológica del mundo, The Weather Channel. La web de la candidatura del presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, también utilizó Brightcove para mostrar sus vídeos durante la última campaña electoral.

National daily newspaper in Spain expands advertising-supported online video with Brightcove platform
BARCELONA, May 28, 2009—Brightcove Inc., the leading online video platform, today announced that La Vanguardia, the highest-circulation daily newspaper based in Barcelona, has selected the Brightcove platform to bolster its advertising-supported online video initiatives. La Vanguardia’s website producers will use the Brightcove platform to publish video content on its popular newspaper website, integrate advertising and expand distribution through search engines. Sony, Peugeot and Nissan are some of the first brands to advertise in La Vanguardia’s new online video offerings.

Now with the help of the Brightcove platform, La Vanguardia can accelerate the publishing workflow and take advantage of advanced features for improved video quality, search engine optimization.
